Frances Glessner Lee’s cottage at The Rocks in Bethlehem, New Hampshire. In 1938, Lee extensively expanded the cottage, previously used as her summer home, for use as her year-round residence. It was here that she planned her groundbreaking work in legal medicine (now known as forensic science) and designed her famous Nutshell Studies of Unexplained Death. It remained home until her death in January 1962. The house was demolished in 2021.
