Lower half of a hand carved dragon panel, executed by Isaac Scott with the assistance of 14-year-old George Glessner in 1886. The panel is one of two, each measuring over five feet tall, made for display over the hall mantel in the Glessners’ summer home, the Big House, located at The Rocks estate in Bethlehem, New Hampshire.

When the Big House was demolished in 1946, Frances Glessner Lee moved the two panels to her cottage at The Rocks. They were installed on a screened porch off of her library, and were painted their current colors. In 2017, the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests, which owns and operates the property as Forest Society North at The Rocks, donated the panels to Glessner House.
