Glessner House Craft Group
Fiber arts have been around for centuries. They include sewing, quilting, needlepoint, macrame, weaving, felting, crocheting, knitting, embroidery, and more, using a variety of materials. Glessner House, the home of Frances Glessner until 1932, was once a gathering place for Chicago women to engage in fiber arts. Frances was a talented seamstress and needleworker with a “remarkable sense of the value of color and fabric.”
Today Glessner House honors her work in the fiber arts with a free monthly meeting of the Glessner House Craft Group.
