Flower garden at The Rocks, the Glessners’ summer estate in New Hampshire, by an unknown artist. Frederick Law Olmsted advised on various aspects of the initial landscaping of the property. The gardens were expanded and reworked over subsequent decades by the Olmsted Brothers, consisting of his sons John C. and Frederick Jr. The latter, known as Rick, was a close friend of George Glessner when the two attended Harvard together in the early 1890s.
