This watercolor portrait of Florence Pullman (1868-1937), eldest daughter of George and Hattie Pullman, is painted on a porcelain plaque, a common technique of the time. It was painted about 1880 by an unidentified artist and was acquired by a local resident when the contents of the Pullman mansion were auctioned off in 1921. Many years later, it was given to artist Jack Simmerling, who bequeathed it to Glessner House in 2013.
